Zhuoli Education Group has been deeply rooted in Nanning for 17 years, always striving to cultivate more talents with international vision and cross-cultural communication skills. This summer, three directors of the group visited Minnesota, USA to explore cooperation goals for the group's international development. After nearly a month of visits and discussions, the group reached preliminary cooperation intentions with several international high schools in Minnesota. Recently, Matthew Cavellier, the principal of Shattuck-St. Mary’s (SSM) in Minnesota, USA, and his delegation visited various schools under the Zhuoli in Nanning and held talks on the details of their cooperation.

Founded in 1858, SSM is one of the oldest college preparatory schools in the Midwest of the United States. It currently has approximately 400 students in grades 6 to 12, with 18% being international students. The school values sports and offers university level courses in medicine, biomedical science, and engineering.

Experiencing Zhuoli Schools

On the 17th, Matthew Cavellier, the principal of SHATTUCK-ST.MARY'S (SSM) in Minnesota, USA, and Yoyo Zhang, the Director of China Affairs at Shattuck, accompanied by two directors of the group, Charles and Andrew, as well as Natalie,  the director of the group's international education program, visited the primary and secondary kindergartens under the group. During the visit, they were warmly welcomed by the students. Principal Matthew Cavellier not only visited the campus environment, listened to introductions from school leaders, observed characteristic courses up close, but also personally experienced a variety of characteristic activities at various campuses.

Nanning Jinyuancheng Zhuoli Primary School prominently showcased the drone soccer project. Drone soccer is an emerging international sports project that combines technology and sports. It is both a sports project and a technology project, integrating multiple disciplines. It is an integrated education project that cultivates students' hands-on and brain skills. Nanning Jinyuancheng Zhuoli Primary School has specially built a training ground, providing a platform for physical education and technology education, injecting vitality into the school. Principal Matthew Cavellier has a deep understanding of daily drone training activities and highly recognizes the development of drone soccer activities.

Nanning Zhuoli Kindergarten highlighted their rich and colorful outdoor independent game - nature painting. By observing and experiencing the beauty of nature up close, and expressing one's feelings and imagination through painting. Principal Matthew Cavellier observed the entire event and stated that it not only cultivated children's artistic literacy, but also deepened their understanding and love for nature. Nanning Zhuoli Kindergarten fully provides children with rich artistic experiences in educational and teaching activities, enhances their aesthetic ability and creativity, and endows them with more wisdom and happiness through art.

Nanning Bandao Zhuoli Primary School in Qingxiu District, successfully attracted the attention of two visiting guests with two traditional cultural project activities - national intangible cultural heritage course cloisonn é and printmaking. These two projects are both cultural and artistic creations as well as carriers of ideological education. Children's works can be seen everywhere on the campus of Nanning Bandao Zhuoli Primary School. Principal Matthew Cavellier personally experienced the wonderful process of creation in the art education room.

Nanning Zhuoli Experimental School brought Principal Matthew Cavellier and Director Yoyo Zhang to the school's labor base - "Zhuocui Garden". Students will learn in detail in English about the construction concept of the school's labor curriculum, the management mode of labor bases, and the implementation of teaching activities. Principal Matthew Cavellier praised the school's efforts in labor education, which not only cultivate students' hands-on practical abilities but also hone their willpower.

Nanning Zhuoli Apple Garden School highlighted its sports specialty course - baseball and softball - to two guests. Through students' English introductions, Principal Matthew Cavellier learned that guided by the concept of "sportsmanship and sportsmanship", the school has introduced baseball and softball programs, aiming to enhance students' personality and spiritual qualities while strengthening their physical fitness. He strongly agrees with this educational philosophy, stating that the ice hockey program introduced at SHATTUCK ST.MARY'S (SSM) is also aimed at this goal. After seeing the students' training and achievements, Principal Matthew Cavellier expressed sincere appreciation. Subsequently, he also participated in the opening ceremony of the third "Zhuoli Cup" baseball and softball game of Zhuoli Education Group held here.

After this visit, Principal Matthew Cavellier gained a deep understanding of the educational culture of Zhuoli Education Group. He saw the group's down-to-earth practice of the school motto of " To Strive for Excellence" and the educational philosophy of "showcasing individuality and comprehensive development". Under the leadership of the group, each campus has implemented a five pronged approach to education, promoting the comprehensive development of students' morality, intelligence, physical，fitness, aesthetics, and labor skills, building a high-quality education system, and truly contributing to the cultivation of modern, international, and healthy individuals with comprehensive development in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor skills.

Conduct discussions, exchange ideas, and explore cooperation in depth

    Zhuoli Education Group Chairman Steve Qiao and two Vice Presidents, Charles and Andrew Qiao, held a symposium with visiting Principal Matthew Cavellier and Director Yoyo Zhang. Steve warmly welcomed the two and exchanged gifts of friendship between the two parties. At the symposium, Charles introduced the development process and international educational achievements of Zhuoli Education foreign language characteristics, and had a full exchange on the future friendly cooperation between the two sides. He hoped that through this exchange, we could jointly promote the development of foreign language education and make greater contributions to cultivating more talents with international vision and cross-cultural communication skills. Principal Matthew Cavellier also introduced the educational characteristics, disciplinary advantages, and friendly cooperation situation of SSM. Both sides had a pleasant conversation in a friendly atmosphere and reached a consensus on cooperation. Principal Matthew Cavellier expressed his willingness to provide more learning opportunities and resource support for our students, and hoped that both parties would actively communicate, leverage their strengths, and further promote exchanges and cooperation between the two schools in the field of internationalization.

This visit and exchange activity not only enhanced the friendship and understanding between the two schools, but also provided our students with a broader international perspective and development channels, inspiring their enthusiasm and longing for international exchange. We believe that with the joint efforts of both sides, the cooperation between the two schools will continue to achieve new results, injecting new vitality into students' cross-cultural exchange and diversified development.
